Glass has no crystals.
Its broken surfaces
Amorphous and jagged
Grate, like transverse faults
Building pressure
For the next big break.
The tumble from top shelves
Smashes vessels proved brittle.
With time we’ll gather the shards
And glue. Till they contain us again.
